What is in a Name - Common Agenda promoted by an entrepreneur who realized the potential of serving the sector for relocation of household goods. This entrepreneur having served for nearly 10 years in Transport and logistic company decided to promote this outfit. When the business was started with a couple of in-training hands during end of 2006 the customers from our maiden-list gave us our name. They started referring as Kamath Packers and that is how our name was christened.

Insurance

Insurance coverage is a most while sending household goods. In-spite of the best packing and safe transportation, factors beyond our control like accidents, fire sabotage, riots etc. can re result in damages to the goods. Hence we repeat “Insurance is a must”. The commonly known insurance is the “Transit Insurance” where the premium comes to 1.2% on declared value. Here the compensation towards damages/loses are paid only if the vehicle meets with on accident to the vehicle no claim for compensation can be made.The other type is called “Comprehensive Insurance” where the premium is around 3%. Here the compensation is paid for any damages except of scratches. In case cover is required for glassware and crockery this has to be specified and a small additional premium paid. This would be the best risk cover. However the customer is the master and his choice would be final.

Quotes for transportation are subject to revision of diesel prices - which does take place too often these days. Virgin packing materials as deemed fit for safety of each item would be provided to ensure a damaged free, scratches free delivery of goods.

Do's & don'ts

Do 's

  • * Segregate the clothing, books, kitchen items that you require to send in the vehicle an those which should accompany you.
  • * Surrender Gas connection and preserve the surrender voucher safety.
  • * In case Bank Account(s) are to be closed or transferred please attend to these well in advance.
  • * Cash, Valuables & Jewellery should be isolated and should be kept in safe custody before the packers reach for their work.
  • * Travelling tickets (air/train) should be carried in your baggages.

Don't s

  • * Do not handover any payment to the packers without inform ing the company.
  • * Do not entrust additional work directly to the packer since such things would corrupt them and bring down the serenity of the atmosphere.
  • * Do not give any instruction to change any mode of packing other then to the or through the supervisor in-charge.
  • * Do not handover important documents for packing since these most be personally packed by you and then handed over through the supervisor.
  • * Don’t send oils, liquids or even semi liquids like pickle since they are prone to damages and spoil other items.
